Last month, signalling a welcome return to the business we all love, Show Technology welcomed five new and already valued staff members.

“We are committed to recovery and growth,” said Emmanuel Ziino, Managing Director of Show Technology. “We are delighted to have been able to secure five experienced and respected people from within the industry to help support our customers and their colleagues into the future. Our new staff members will be integral to our post-Covid operations and I look forward to sharing this exciting journey with them.”

Wayne Kellett
Internal Sales & Sales Support NSW

A veteran of our industry, Wayne has 30 years of involvement in countless lighting product sales. He made the move from Herkes Electrical saying he has known Emmanuel Ziino for many years as a colleague and friend and so he jumped at the chance to join the team.

“Show Technology has committed to stock and staffing to fulfil the anticipated rebound in the entertainment area,” said Wayne. “The work environment is comfortable, staffed by friendly professional people and the coffee is great!”

Wayne added that he commits to Customer Service that is friendly, efficient and trustworthy as well as Internal Support for the company.

Sam Walter
Technical Sales QLD

After over a decade at Brisbane Sound Group, Sam Walter is thrilled to be joining Show Technology and being able to get back to his lighting roots.

“I’m passionate about our industry and it’s an exciting time to be joining the team as events recover post-Covid,” he remarked. “Having done lighting design, operation, and sales over the last 20 years I look forward to using my skill set to support Show Technology’s customers across Queensland and Northern Territory.”

Andrew Rawlinson
Spare Parts Manager NSW

Andrew has worked in the business for many years at companies such as Encore Event Technologies, CMI Music and Audio and Herkes Electrical. As a result, he is experienced in production equipment of all disciplines.

“Working with Show Technology was something I thought would never happen – but I’m very glad it did!” he said. “From my experience as a buyer with Encore and Herkes, dealings with Showtech have always been trouble-free, efficient and timely. The experience is always welcoming and friendly, and visiting with Show Technology people is always comfortable. I think this is the biggest factor in why I wish to stay at Show Technology for the rest of my career – the culture of positivity and generosity across the business. The sharing of information and genuine excitement of products and the injection of those products into the production industry pulls you in. It’s a great place to be at and being surrounded by such experienced and knowledgeable people is wonderful.”

In his role as Spare Parts Manager, Andrew aims to drive improvement across the spare parts sector of the business with effective stock levels to minimise downtime of client fixtures and to provide customer service levels that exceed expectations. His expertise is in data-driven stock management and with the ability to control forward orders and projected volume requirements, he hopes to reduce lead times for our service department and our customers.

James Devlin
Service Technician NSW

James has worked as a freelance audio engineer for many years and during that time, he picked up lighting and repair skills along the way. He was the Theatre Manager and then Associate Lecturer at Excelsia College (formerly Wesley Institute of Music), teaching sound and lighting and theatre safety to Performing Arts undergraduates.

“Working in service and focusing on problem-solving brings new and fresh challenges every day,” commented James. “I pride myself on being happy to do whatever is needed, get up and just go when asked. I am driven to grow and improve myself and the processes of the service department. I love to learn and I’m learning a lot very quickly.”

Janis Auzins
Technical Sales NSW

While Janis mainly comes from a background in Sydney private schools, he has been involved in many different aspects of production over the years.

“I’m bringing my technical and organisational knowledge, but mainly I am looking forward to providing the best service I possibly can to make sure all of our customers get the best products and best advice for their lighting needs,” he said. “For most of my career I have been a client of Show Technology and I have always been impressed by the service from everyone in the company.”

Janis applied for this role in 2020 but then Covid hit. Two years later (almost to the day) he had completely moved out of the industry when we decided to call him to see if he was still interested.

“I jumped at the chance to work in this awesome place, to provide a premium, quality service to all of our customers!” added Janis.

We are now looking for two more staff for our Melbourne office: Technical Sales and Electronic Service Technician. Each of the vacancies requires different qualifications but you should be a dynamic and passionate individual who is keen to work for Australasia’s most successful, vibrant and well-regarded lighting distributor.
