The famous Italian singer and songwriter Filippo Neviani, aka Nek, is back on Italian and European stages with a tour called “Il mio gioco preferito” (“My favorite game”). From November 6th, 2019, to January 23rd, 2020, the popular artist has performed brand new songs and his timeless hits.
Francesco De Cave, lighting designer with a great experience, has created an impactful set-up. To light up Nek’s stage throughout the Italian tour, he has chosen to use PROLIGHTS AIR5FAN and SUNBAR2000FC.
“Developing an impressive lighting design was the main purpose of this project” explained Francesco. “If it’s various and well-thought out, making use of projectors providing twofold lighting possibilities, the final result will be a major success. My main goal was to highlight every single song in a complete different way. Therefore, PROLIGHTS Air5Fan have been placed on flat truss, and Sunbar2000FC on two rows on the back of the stage with the aim of creating a kind of “light wall”. I’ve been so impressed by Air5Fan performance because is amazingly bright. It provides endless possibilities thanks to the engine moving the 5 LEDs. The mirror mounted on the back and on the front of the housing, allows laser and beam coming from other sources to be reflected and the light effects to be doubled. In regards to Sunbar2000FC, I’ve already use it before. This projector is extremely bright and divisible by cells, which ensures unparalleled illumination. Nek wanted an impactful show, and we definitely succeeded in meeting his expectations, because the artist has appreciated so much the products and the final result”.
The tour has been equipped by AGORÀ service. Marco Carancini, lighting engineer involved in setting up the tour said: “The lighting design, as well as which kind of projectors should have been used, comes from Francesco’s creativity, of course. As a lighting engineer, I’ve been impressed by Air5Fan performance. It’s a very fast, lightweight fixture, with low power consumption and equipped with 5 powerful LEDs. It embodies multiple functions and, in my opinion, among all the projectors used throughout 2019, Air5Fan is an absolute innovation”.
