Auckland’s Forge Production Services is a proud Claypaky house with over 100 Claypaky fixtures in its lighting inventory. These include Mythos 2 Spotlights, Scenius Unico Spotlights, Sharpy Plus Hybrids and the new members of the family 18 x Claypaky Mini-Bs, the smallest LED moving light ever made by Claypaky.
“The Mini-Bs are clearly a good fit with everything else we have in stock!” commented Marc Benedict, Electrical & Systems Engineer at Forge. “I don’t think there’s anything else that can perform the same way that a Claypaky Mini-B does. In terms of output and size, they’re probably, I’d say, one of the market leaders in it.”
Marc adds that he was looking for a small wash light that was super quick and could also deliver a very tight beam. With a zoom ranging from 4° to 55° the Mini-B certainly met that requirement!
“I think we trialled over 20 different fixtures and Mini-B was the clear winner,” he said. “They are fast and, even though it’s an LED source and a lot of the other fixtures are arc-lamp moving lights, there is really good colour matching and saturation across them all.”
Although it weighs just 7 kg and measures only 34 cm, the versatile Mini-B features the most advanced, modern optical and electronic technology.
“It has a lot of power for its size,” remarked Marc. “If you want a small fixture with a big output to produce both strong beams and a wide wash, this is the fixture for you.”
Marc remarks that also part of the reason he prefers Claypaky and MA Lighting is the good service and delivery provided by Show Technology as well as the great people who work there.
Marc is eagerly awaiting his next shipment from us consisting of Claypaky Mini-B Aquas, created to meet the huge demand from lighting professionals for a weather-resistant, lightweight, compact wash light.
