The 2016 NSW Schools Spectacular was held at Qudos Bank Arena over the weekend and the production has found its way into the Guinness Book of Records for the world’s largest variety show!

Lighting designer Trudy Dalgleish specified 600 moving lights including 65 x Claypaky Sharpy, 10 x Claypaky Sharpy Wash, 30 x Claypaky Alpha 1500 Spot, 184 x Martin Professional MAC101, 30 x MAC Martin Quantum Wash, 30 x Martin MAC TW1, 60 x Martin MAC2000 Wash XB, 24 x Martin MAC Viper Performance, 98 x Martin MAC Viper Spot, 42 x Pulsar Chromabanks, 2 x MA Lighting International MA2 full size, 2 x MA2 light and 5 x MA NPU.

Assisting Trudy were Robbie Cuddon who programmed till his fingers were bloody stubs and his brain fried to a mushy pulp, Chris Snape who wrangled the followspots, Ian Anderson who designed a great set and last but not least, James Johnson who kept the 600 movers working while suffering severe sleep deprivation!
