Perth’s Frontier Lighting has added sixteen Claypaky Sharpy Plus to their inventory. Sharpy Plus is the first true 100% hybrid unit, able to be a perfect beam light and a perfect spotlight. “The reason for purchasing the Sharpy Plus was to turnover some of our existing stock into newer technology and keep our stock more up to date,” commented Justin Twible, Frontier’s Production Manager. “The Sharpy Plus being a true hybrid fixture was a big factor for us. Having the ability to go from a spot to beam and have a completely flat field in spot mode and then change into beam mode and have that hotspot to cut through, was another reason we chose this product – not to mention it now has CMY colour mixing. Also the size and weight was very appealing to us as we found the Mythos too big for certain uses that the Sharpy was great for so having a unit not much bigger than the Sharpy but with all those features you can’t go wrong.”
Frontier’s Sharpy Plus fixtures went straight out onto the Björn Again 30th Anniversary Tour show at Perth’s Crown Theatre and lighting designer Taylor Hyslop was delighted!
