Latarka is a boutique lighting company that specialises in lighting design, operation and equipment supply. Headed up by Victor Mrowka, Latarka works across nearly every event sector delivering innovative lighting solutions for touring artists, school musicals, nightlife events, corporate launches, weddings, permanent light installations and other experiential and special events.
In December Latarka welcomed six Claypaky Mini-Bs to their family of Claypaky fixtures including Stormy CC, Axcor 300 Spots and Sharpy Wash 330.
Mini-B is the smallest LED moving light ever made by Claypaky for the professional market. Mini-B features a wide zoom, ranging from 4° to 55°, for extreme versatility. At the narrow-angle, the beam produced is very solid and concentrated, superb for aerial effects. At full aperture, the Mini-B becomes an excellent wash light and can replace much heavier and bulkier equipment. In addition, the Mini-B’s central LED may be controlled separately from the external ring of LEDs making it ideal for graphic lighting effects.
“Before the road cases were ready we already had our Mini-Bs out on three events and they sadly had to travel in cardboard!” commented Victor. “They deliver a lot of power in a very compact, agile body.
“I was impressed with the Mini-B’s zoom range and colour rendition.”
Pictured are Latarka’s Mini-Bs on St Paul’s College Formal 2021, an end of year affair for the students to celebrate a difficult year of e-learning and the challenges that came with that.
The event had a snow theme and the six Claypaky Mini-B and four CP Stormy CC provided rapid movement and aggressive nightlife effects. Two Claypaky Axcor 300 Spots were used to project patterns onto the igloo stage dome.
Control was an MA Lighting grandMA3 command wing.
