Show Technology Perth is proud to spotlight Western Australian production company GSD Productions, whose Lighting Designer Alex Spartalis crafted a lighting design for the recent Lime Cordiale with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra performance at the Riverside Theatre, Perth.
Working alongside WASO for many years, Alex delivered a visually captivating experience that seamlessly blended orchestral sophistication with contemporary flair. Central to the production were Show Technology’s ShowPRO R3 Wash units and GSD’s latest investment – the Claypaky Ultimo Sharpy.
“About 18 hours after collecting them, I was excited to put the Ultimo Sharpys straight to work on this show,” said Alex Spartalis. “They were a pleasure to use, offering an excellent dimming curve and colour mix options. Having that level of control across the entire system allowed it to all integrate beautifully, with slow fades across all fixtures producing a cohesive visual result.”
The lighting rig combined in-house equipment with additional support from local supplier LUX Events, ensuring a powerful and adaptable setup to complement the orchestral arrangements and modern stage presence.
