With offices in Dunedin and Christchurch, Strawberry Sound offers a comprehensive AV rental and production service for events across New Zealand’s South Island.

In order to offer their clients the best equipment possible, they recently invested in AV Stumpfl Monoblox projection screen kits, the world’s premium screens for the rental and staging industry. A package of two x 20ft Monoblox 64 and two x 10ft Monoblox 32 screens were ordered.

“The 10ft screens do our day to day, small room corporate jobs whilst the 20ft screens do the larger gigs at arena size venues,” added Alex Jones, Production Manager at Strawberry Sound. “Their build quality is far superior to anything else on the market. Lots of other screens manufacturers send attachments to get the sag out of the screens, they’re not truly square …. but these are great. It’s simply a good, all-in-one product.”

The Monoblox system is excellent for applications which require the frame to be set up as easily and quickly as possible. Stability, weight and transport volume have been optimized and are in perfect harmony. An innovative one touch locking system makes Monoblox the professional’s choice for quality and durability.

“They fit together nicely, the skin goes on easily …. a far superior build to anything else we have seen,” said Alex. “Plus the image you put on them always looks great as they handle projection amazingly. They pack away easily into their cases and are a breeze to transport.”

The Monoblox 32 kit consists of single-piece aluminum frame with locking joints and includes one pair of T-legs and wing screws (for connecting frame and legs), hard gray case, black protective bag, and projection surface with 4“ wide black border and snap fasteners.

The Monoblox 64 kit consists of 2 horizontal frame segments, 2 vertical segments. Includes: 1 pair of AT64-Legs and wing screws(for connecting frame and legs), hard gray case(s), black protective bag, and projection surface with 4“ wide black border and snap fasteners.

The images show Strawberry Sound utilizing their AV Stumpfl screens at the QuarryNZ Conference. The Conference was held at three different venues in Invercargill. The ILT Stadium Southland held the main plenary and exhibition, Transport World hosted the CoughCat Dinner and TransDiesel Awards Dinner, and the SIT Zerofees Velodrome hosted the Mimico Dinner.

Of course, all events were enhanced by the AV Stumpfl screens and Strawberry Sound’s client, ICM Events, was delighted with all post comments from the event very complimentary.
