COBRA is the first factory standard AYRTON phosphor laser source luminaire based on the concept of DREAMSPOT 18K, presented at Prolight+Sound 2016. Several years of development have gone into designing and finalising this exceptional luminaire, which offers a next generation speckle-free laser source, designed for rendering a D65 white point that allows perfect colour reproduction. COBRA pushes all the limits when it comes to beam definition, with native contrast never before achieved by a digital light source, an incredible beam angle of 0.6°, and an extreme range of focus which permits the beam shape to be adjusted according to the operating distance XT-Focus™. Fitted with a 170 mm frontal lens, the proprietary optical system uses 13 lenses, producing an unprecedented 38x zoom ratio and a zoom range of 0.6° to 23°. COBRA adopts a particularly minimalist style, extremely well-balanced due to the luminaire’s simplified waterproofing EasyProtect-65™, and the continuous rotation of the pan and tilt movement, multiplying the possibilities for creating complex effects I.R.S.™ and making this luminaire a universal tool capable of meeting any challenge in all conditions. COBRA is provided with a highly innovative colour section including a CMY mixing system and a multi-position instant access wheel equipped with six corrective filters, 21 complementary colour filters, and a variable CTO on two concentric circles 2D-ColorWheel™. COBRA has an unrivalled graphics capability, offering a wide choice of 92 fixed and rotating metal gobos distributed on two wheels specifically created to sculpt light in “beam” mode and incorporates an animation section on the gobo wheel 2D-GoboWheel™. These gobos can be blended with two sections of four individually combinable rotating prisms allowing you to produce a multitude of volumetric lighting effects. DOMINO LT is the first all-terrain LED luminaire in the « LT » (Long Throw) range designed for intensive outdoor use in long-distance applications requiring high precision. To create this extreme luminaire unrivalled on the market, AYRTON has used “XXL” 225 mm-diameter frontal optics weighing 7 kg that can obtain an ultra-intensive beam. The proprietary optical system has 13 lenses, delivering a 15:1 zoom ratio and a zoom range of 3.5° to 53°. DOMINO LT was developed to cope with the most extreme conditions, able to acclimate to all types of environments and endure rapid climate change. For this purpose, DOMINO LT has borrowed from the style and minimalist design of DOMINO PROFILE, incorporating full weather-proofing features while ensuring total accessibility to the luminaire’s internal functions. With its new die-cast aluminium frame, the luminaire uses the same base, reducing its visual footprint to a minimum. For greater efficiency, DOMINO LT has a highly effective next-generation, oversized cooling system fitted with six submersible fans outside its weatherproof enclosure. DOMINO LT adopts the complex colour mixing system of HURACÁN PROFILE, offering a double level of CMY saturation that can obtain 281 trillion colours (patent pending) and a triple corrector for variable colour temperature that allows subtle adjustment from 2700 K to 15000 K and significant CRI improvement. Fitted with multiple optical tools for shaping light, DOMINO LT is factory-equipped with a linear progressive frost system, a lightweight frost filter, and two image-multiplying rotating prisms: one is linear with four facets and the other is circular with five facets. The framing section enables precise positioning of each shutter blade on a 100% surface area. The effects section includes two superimposed rotating gobo wheels each with seven gobos, a 15-blade iris diaphragm, a monochromatic multi-position effects wheel, and an RGB and CMY effects wheel for unique multicolour effects. Ayrton has developed Bora, its new feature-packed 750 W wash luminaire, using a radical approach. Its specific function is to establish the perfect atmosphere for your creative design. Fitted with a frontal 178 mm spherical lens, the proprietary optical system using 13 high-quality lenses was developed specifically for “wash” applications.
