Ayrton’s new MERAK™ is a powerhouse of technology that features a proprietary 10:1 optical zoom system, combined with a 250 W low-etendue, RGBW multichip LED module. The 7º to 70º zoom employs light pipe technology paired with a new textured Fresnel lens design to ensure perfectly homogenous colour mixing regardless of the colour combination selected. With its single-source transmitting lens, MERAK™ casts wonderfully crisp light and shadows. The fixture is also equipped with a de-focusable rotating beam shaping optic. MERAK™ puts new technology to great use with a next-generation power supply that incorporates active power factor correction (PFC) and a DC/DC converter in an ultra-compact module for more than 95 percent efficiency. MERAK™ is equipped with a highly effective new phase-change liquid cooling system using vapour chamber technology, which permits the fixture to operate in all positions. These innovations allow the LED emitters to be run at full power continuously without any loss of performance. To celebrate Ayrton’s 15th Anniversary, MERAK™ presents a sleeker, updated, industrial design, with perfectly straightened yoke arms, and minimalist base, as well as a new menu navigation system using a single control wheel. MINIPANEL™FX is a versatile new multi-function and multi-use luminaire that combines the same main features and essential components as the MAGICPANEL™FX in an ultra compact format. Fitted with four squared 65mm lenses, the proprietary optical zoom system ensures a 15:1 zoom ratio, with a wide range of 3.6° to 53°. The crisp separation between the beams that enhances contrast, combined with an optical system using no visible moving parts and a stationary transmitting lens, offers new possibilities for creating graphical effects. Effects capabilities can be coupled with beam, wash or matrix applications to produce superb results whether performing in front of the audience or camera. Highly compact, light, ultra-fast and powerful, MINIPANEL™FX is equipped with four new low-etendue 30 W RGBW multi-chip LED emitters paired with a high-efficiency optical system. The fixture offers an overall luminous flux of 2,400 lumen and a centre-beam luminous intensity of 331,200 candelas for an overall consumption of only 200 W. The continuous, unlimited, rotation on pan and tilt, first introduced on the legendary MAGICPANEL™602 in 2013, is standard. MINIPANEL™FX is equipped with extended serial connectivity and can be controlled via DMX-RDM or a wireless link using CRMX TiMo RDM from LumenRadio™.

With the Axcor Profile 900, Claypaky has launched a new course in its design research: it is the first Claypaky spotlight to use a LED light source, instead of a traditional discharge lamp.
